Guiyang Vanke Guanhu Sales Center: A Harmonious Blend of Art and Nature

ONE-CU Interior Design Lab's Award-Winning Project Balances Urban Life with Natural Beauty

Located away from the city's hustle and bustle, the sales center boasts an enchanting lake view. The design team leveraged this natural setting to create a space that seamlessly blends with the surrounding mountains and water. The project explores the boundary between the near and the far, striking a balance between urban life and the serenity of nature.

The shared space is characterized by openness and integration. A shelf brimming with artworks and books stands as a unique visual element, while the light hues counterbalance the architectural structures' massiveness. The water bar, resting area, and negotiation area form a socializing anchor point, fostering interaction and engagement.

The design's unique properties lie in its artistic aesthetics and minimalism. The space encourages visitors to interact with nature, with window blinds revealing a glimpse of the outside scenery. The negotiation area is adorned with books and artworks, offering a visually rich experience. The sunken structure and circular seating booth provide varying viewing angles, enhancing the overall spatial experience.

The project, spanning 1000 square meters, was realized using marble, bronze brushed stainless steel, steel net, and wood veneer. The design process started in November 2019 and concluded in May 2020 in China. The design team faced several challenges, including creating a natural interior space that mirrors the outdoor environment and expressing the landscaped place hidden in the city.

The Guiyang Vanke Guanhu Sales Center is not just a design project; it's a living environment that connects to nature while maintaining a certain distance from the city's bustle. It presents various possibilities for the future, emphasizing the return to nature. This innovative design approach earned the project a Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation.
